Tissue Paper Angel

At the CAS Mix Up Challenge this month we are to use Tissue Paper. I watched Loll's video where she showed us different ways to use it. I do want to try those but my first thought went to some tissue paper that I couldn't throw away but didn't know what to do with, either.

Stamp: Hero Arts (feather)
Dies: Alexandra Renke (angel with heart), SSS (stitched rectangle)

When I was in Germany I finally got some things from Alexandra Renke, amongst them this adorable angel! With a glue stick I glued the tissue paper on some white card stock, cut out the angel with the heart, colored the heart with a sharpie, and covered it with glossy accents.

I made another card with the same tissue paper so please check back in! I am really excited about this technique as I can't throw out beautiful tissue paper!

Before I let you go I want to show you a photo I took on a hike we did in the first week of our vacation. It was south of Munich near Tegernsee where one of my nieces lives.

Be well,

  1. Now that's the most perfect use for this tissue paper!! That little angel is wonderful and I do love the tissue paper you've covered him in. So sweet against the gray panel and to have him sitting on a feather is just brilliant!! What a wonderful card. Beautiful view of those mountains, btw! I'd love to see it in person someday... : ) Bev

  6. What a stunning view! Hubby was in Germany when he was in the army--long before he knew me. He was very young, but has a lot of great memories & now knows where some of his relatives were before they immigrated to the US. Sure would be fun to see those places, but think we're not adventurous enough anymore. That angel is just beautiful & you've made me think I will have to watch the video so I can use some of the tissue paper filling up one drawer!
